Understanding the Basics of Perspective by Carrie Vielle

Resident artist Carrie Vielle schedules perspective drawing class at the Dahmen Barn

At the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown, learn to bring your drawings and paintings to life on Saturday, March 31 with artist Carrie Vielle from 10 am to 3 pm. Understanding the basics of perspective can vastly improve the sense of depth and realism in your 2-dimensional works. This beginning class will address the components of atmospheric perspective, foreshortening, one-point and two-point linear perspective. Although traditionally a technical drawing discipline, Carrie will break down the vocabulary and drawing construction processes in a fun and very easy-to-understand manner. The class is for ages 16 and above. The cost is $72; registrations must be received by March 28. Register online on the calendar page at    www.artisanbarn.org or call 509-229-3414. List of materials students should bring is on the website’s calendar listing.
