RE: Children’s beginning acrylic painting class scheduled at the Dahmen Barn
On Saturday, April 7, from 10 am to 11:30 am at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown, children aged 6 to 10 can learn beginning acrylic painting skills. This class is taught by resident artisan Donna Baker, who has taught children for years. Using inexpensive acrylic paints, the children will learn how to lay out a palette, how to keep the paint moist and care for the brushes. Also included is how to lay out a simple landscape in full color and how to use the acrylics. The cost is $20. Registrations are required by April 2 and may be done online using the calendar page at www.artisanbarn.org or call 509-229-3414. Donna has a natural drawing talent and has been a professional artist for more than 20 years. She has enhanced her ability as an artist by taking a variety of classes from world renowned artists. Donna works in oils, acrylics, pastels and graphite to depict portraits, landscapes, domestic animals, wildlife and still life. She has had her work accepted to many juried shows throughout the northwest where she has won many awards. Donna does 30 minute portraits in pastel and graphite with amazing accuracy and beauty. Her paintings and sketches are owned by collectors throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is in Uniontown on highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.
