German Oom Pah Band at Dahmen Barn Afternoon on March 4, 2012

On Sunday, March 4, from 1 to 3 pm, Auf Gehts, a German Oom Pah Band, will play a free concert at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown.  The concert is held in conjunction with the 58th annual Sausage Feed at the Uniontown Community Building from 10 am to 5 pm.  The all-you-can-eat meal features home made sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, applesauce, pie and beverage.  The cost is $12 for adults, $8 for ages 6 to 12, and $2 for under 6.  Attendees may eat in the dining room on a first come, first served basis, or for those who cannot wait, take out dinners are available immediately.  The net proceeds go toward the maintenance of the Community Building.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  Workshops for children and adults are regularly scheduled and a different exhibit occurs each month.  Come and watch artisans work in their studios.  The facility is fully handicap accessible. Winter hours Thursday through Sunday continue through February, 10 am to 4 pm.  Open hours are 10 am to 6 pm beginning March 1.  Information:  www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
