Alison Oman to teach intermediate bead weaving at the Dahmen Barn
Resident artisan Alison Oman will be teaching Intermediate Bead Weaving – The Next Step at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn on Saturday, February 2 from 9 am to 4 pm.
This class is for students who have taken Alison's beginner's course and are ready to move on. Students will create a ladybug pin with a 'ragged', free-form edge, learning the finishing techniques to make the design into both a pin or a pendant. The pin will be completed in class. Designs for two pieces will be included in the handouts. Students should bring their loom without a warp on it. The cost is $80, which includes all materials except the loom.
Registrations must be received by January 25 either by calling 509-229-3414 or using the form online on the top of the calendar page at www.artisanbarn.org.
For those who have an incomplete project on their loom, Alison is offering another session on February 16. See the calendar listing on the website for details.
