"The Tap Grandmas," a group of lively women tap-dancers who were a top hit at Spokane's Annual Fall Folk Festival recently not only captured the admiration of spectators, but also encourages seniors to join them. The dancers includes women 56-82-years old.

"Our door is always open to observers, We are not shy about performing. We do fundraisers for charities, and private parties are our favorite. Any money that we earn goes to the Homeless Education and Resource Team (H.E.A.R.T), a program for homeless school children of Spokane School District," Joan Hamilton said. I saw this group at the folk festival and so enjoyed their enthusiasm and love of life. The change of costumes made it flashy and fun.
