7th annual Summer Creativity Series for kids begins at the
Dahmen Barn on July 11, 2013.
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown has a fun series of
creativity sessions lined up for kids aged 6 to 12. Beginning July 11 and
going for 6 consecutive Thursday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:45, two topics are
offered each day with a healthy snack in between. All the instructors are
experienced working with kids. Thanks to a grant from the U S Bancorp
Foundation, the cost per afternoon will be $12 this year, down from $20 in
the past. Registrations must be made by the end of the day Sunday
preceding each class, as no walk-ins the day of the class can be

Painting Art with Nancy Attebury (kids should wear paint
shirts) & fused
glass with Sherry Seeh
July 18: Drawing
with the kids modeling with resident artisan Alison Oman & block printing with

July 25: Collage
to tell a story with resident artisan Alison Oman & Fimo clay with a stems and butterfly
theme with resident artisan Carole Galloway
August 1: Cartooning
with Tiffany Sheely & Faerie
Aeries and Troll Houses with Sue Dahmen
August 8: Accordian
book with Laurel Macdonald and Debi Robinson-Smith & decoupage using fabric
with Sue Dahmen
August 15: Tie
dye a t-shirt (kids bring shirts) with Arlene Falcon & Fimo clay in frames
with resident artist Carole Galloway
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity
center in Uniontown on highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron
wheel fence. The fully handicap accessible facility is open Thursday
through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm and has no daily admission fee.
