The January 2013 issue of Front Porch Review is now available. An intriguing collection of prose, poetry and visual arts. As demonstrated by the cover photo, we are not experiencing a typical Chicago January.

Please encourage everyone you know to read the magazine and to e-mail me a request to be on my mailing list. I rely on e-mail addresses for issue notification purposes only.

"Front Porch Review" Publishes Great Stories

Front Porch Review is a free quarterly online literary magazine, created by Glen Phillips of Park Ridge, IL, publishes thoughtful, provocative fiction, poetry, essays and visual arts, including photos. The content is varied – something for everyone.

Phillips says, "Envision its contributors sitting on a porch of your own design, each offering a manuscript or photo intended to intrigue, beguile, fascinate. Sit beside them, attend to their words and pictures, and discover shards of wisdom.

"Whatever its form, a front porch is where we, young and old, congregate; where we assemble, gather, mingle, congeal, where we get together. And once there we speculate, pontificate, prevaricate, and expostulate; occasionally we speak words of universal truth."

Among the authors featured on Front Porch Review are residents, or former residents, of the Palouse region of Washington State.

The April, 2012, issue is now available to enjoy.

If you don't discover an author you recognize, or find a story about the Palouse you relate to, explore past issues, and discover interesting facts about life on the Palouse.

As always, contributors appreciate your comments; click on a contributor’s name to find his or her e-mail address.

If you are an author, the submission deadline for the July issue of is June 30. Please consider submitting your creative efforts, and please share this magazine with others. Thank you.
