Cowboy Poetry and Music Schedule at the Dahmen Barn



Sunday afternoon, February 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., The Palouse Country Cowboy Poetry Association will perform cowboy poetry and music at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown.

Three poets who have won awards at the national level will entertain. Darleane Norskog and J.B. Barber will also be reciting poetry, while Bodie Domingues, "Farmer" Dave Fulfs and "Awesome" Jim Aasen perform wonderful western musec.

The cost is $7 at the door door, which will benefit the expansion at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.

The Palouse Country Cowboy Poetry Association was formed in 1995 by seven quad city cowboy poetry enthusiasts and has grown to 35 or so members over the years, including some nationally and internationally recognized poets and musicians.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, 419 Hwy. 195, Uniontown - in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence. The non-profit creativity center is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee. Information:

Hog Heaven Big Band in 6th Year in Dahmen Barn, January 28, 2012

Saturday, January 28, 2012, 7:30 p.ml to 9:30 p.m., the 16-member Hog Heaven Big Band resumes its monthly performances at the Dahmen Barn. 

Come to the the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence in Uniontown, off Highway 195. Dance or listen to favorite tunes from the swing era. If you come to listen, plan to be entertained by expert dancing by the regulars. 

Admission, $8 for a couple, $5 for a single, children under 12 free.

The band has been playing on the Palouse for decades and is in its 6th year playing at the Dahmen Barn on the 4th Saturday of each month.
