Registation Due by June 22, 2013 Oil painting for beginners workshop at the Dahmen Barn

On Saturday, June 29 from 11 am to 4 pm, visiting artist Diana Moses Botkin is offering an oil painting class for beginners at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown.  Oil paints are a wonderful, forgiving medium. If you’ve never tried them, or are just starting out with oils, this class will help you get going. Oils have advantages over acrylics because of their slower drying time for blending, and wiping off for changes. This is a beginning level class for students ages 16 and older who are able to draw basic shapes and have some understanding of form. The cost is $72 with students bringing their own supplies of purchasing from the instructor. Registrations must be received by June 22. Register online at the top of the calendar page at www.artisanbarn.org or call 509-229-3414.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence on highway 195 in Uniontown.  The three level facility is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  The center is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.  Information:   www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
