Registration Due by May 28, 2013 for Two Day Watercolor Landscape Painting Workshop


On Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, 10 am to 4 pm both days, visiting artist Wes Hanson will lead a workshop at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown titled “Drawing and Painting Landscapes in Watercolor” where participants will learn to draw both loose and focused landscapes.  This workshop is for adults who have basic drawing skills and beginning experience with watercolors.  The cost is $132 with students bringing their own materials.  Enrollment is limited to 10; registrations must be received no later than May 28.  Register online using the form at the top of the calendar page at www.artisanbarn.org or call 509-229-3414.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center just off highway 195 in Uniontown in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  The facility is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  It is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.  Information:  www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.

Registration Due May 12, 2013 for Beginning Acrylic Painting Workshop


Beginning acrylic painting workshop for children aged 6 to 10

On Saturday, May 18 from 10 am to noon, Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is offering a beginning acrylic painting workshop for young children. The session will be taught by resident artisan Donna Baker, who has taught children and adults in all art mediums for many years.

In this workshop students aged 6 to 10 will learn to paint a landscape using simple shapes. Donna will demonstrate and paint along with the students so the students understand how to proceed. The cost of $25 includes all materials.
